Price Reduction in WLAN Curriculum
Atlanta, GA, February
12, 2004 – Effective February 12, 2004, TechNet Training Centers will reduce the
costs of their wireless LAN training (CWNA, CWSP and CWNE) by 35% – 40% to the
educational markets.
The reduction in price
represents a major savings to the educational institutions who will benefit from
the training the most. In order to qualify, you must be able to prove that you
work for an educational institution, for example the department of education,
preschool, elementary school, high school, college, university and technical
schools.
TechNet Training
Centers, a Premier Certified Wireless Education Center is sensitive to the needs
of educational institutions and wants to continue to provide quality wireless
LAN education to these institutions of higher learning.
This is also TechNet's
way of giving back to the community at large and assists these institutions with
their budgetary restrictions. Which will afford them the ability to setup their
networking environment in a more cost effective manner.
In light of this, the
month of April will be designated as "Education To Education” month (ETE).
During the month of April, TechNet will focus on delivering wireless training to
schools and universities. This will promote a synergy between the schools and a
vehicle to network and share information across the nation with other
institutions.
Individuals from
institutions of higher learning have the ability to take the training at
anytime. The month of April however, will serve as an opportunity for these
individuals to take the classes with their peers across the nation.
For more information
and additional requirements, contact Joyce Whitted, Director of Operations at
770-455-4477 or 1-866-276-9913.

The job market for
such graduates has never been better. It is estimated that, “eMarketer
Magazine” estimates that almost 9 million U.S. households have shopped online
and that number should rise to more than 40 million by 2003. The magazine also
estimates that North America now accounts for 71 percent of all online trade,
and that worldwide, business-to-business e-commerce will reach $2.7 trillion by
2004. “The hottest new careers worldwide are in web design and e-commerce,” said
Dr. Diane Garsombke, dean of the Brenau School of Businesses and mass
Communication.
The Brenau/TechNet
program will bridge the gap between certification and a college degree. J.
Whitted, TechNet's director of training, says prospective students often ask,
which is better, a college degree or certification. “Marrying the two only makes
good business sense. It allows the student not only to obtain theoretical
knowledge but also gives first hand experience and skills in real world
applications. This partnership allows prospective students to get the best of
both worlds,” Whitted said.
